KHRP presented a talk at the “Mainstreaming Diversity” conference held at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France on 3rd and 4th February 2011. KHRP legal team member Declan O’Callahan spoke about discrimination in cultural matters, addressing the need for the European Court to present stronger observations in judgments concerning Article 14 discrimination matters.
The conference, organised by the University of Ghent, Belgium, was concerned with identifying ways in which the European Court of Human Rights could improve its mainstreaming of diversity concerns.
Other speakers included Judge Egbert Myjer, Judge Ann Power, Judge Christos Rozakis and Judge Andras Sajo of the European Court of Human Rights.
